Trivia

It took almost two years to make Trolley Boy, not least because we could only film in the car park when it was empty, on Sundays. But mainly because Jake went away to study in the USA for six months!

The total budget for the piece was $50, most of which went on batteries for the radio mics.

In the scene where Martin goes to see Ryan at his house we thought it would be funny to shoot a version where they were two lovers that had just broken up, we enjoyed it so much we kept it.

It was shot during the Perth Summer, on some days it was 40C and so hot that we could only film quick takes before rushing back under shelter.

Jake and Craig would often do a lunch run to the Subway behind the building where they would try out different accents on the staff.

Shortly after filming Jake, Craig and Louise all moved from Perth to Sydney, we’re not paranoid...
